Trend Radar — AI & builder trends for solo and small founders
We pick the AI, tooling, and solo-business news that matters to people building products alone or in a small team, and lay it out in one place with a plain summary and a practical take.
Who this is for
Built for solo developers, indie makers, and small founders who ship fast with few hands. For them, time is the scarcest resource. Instead of chasing dozens of communities, blogs, and release feeds every day, we surface only the changes that actually matter — on one screen.
How it works
We gather new items per topic from Reddit (subreddits + keyword search), Hacker News, official RSS/releases, GitHub, and web search. Items about the same event are grouped, and off-topic noise is filtered out. Each item is then turned into (1) a plain restatement of the content, (2) a take on why it matters from a solo-founder’s view, and (3) key points — ranked by importance (1–5) and date.
How importance is scored
Each item shows an importance score from 1 to 5. Critical (5) is a major change you should know now (a major release, policy, or breakthrough); High (4) is worth keeping up with; Medium (3) is useful context; Low (2) and Minor (1) are smaller updates. We judge it by how much it actually matters to a solo or small builder — based on the item’s content, not hype. The list is ranked using this score together with recency and engagement (score and comments).
How this differs from a link dump
This is not a wall of links. Each item is rewritten in plain language anyone can grasp at once, and we add our own take on what it means for solo and small builders and what to watch for. When something is minor, we say so. We do not republish the original — we provide our own curation and analysis.
Topics we cover
Data & copyright
Only metadata (title, summary, link) is collected from public sources. We never store or republish the original text verbatim, and always link back to the source. The summaries and takes are our own work; their copyright belongs to Trend Radar.
