For AI agents, model access rules are part of the product
The strongest AI model is hard to use in a real if access could change and users cannot plan around it. access should be treated as part of the product, not as a side detail. Teams need to know who is allowed to use the model, what the access includes, whether it is only a preview or something stable, what review process exists, and which fallback is recommended if access is limited.
The point is not to remove every restriction. Serious AI work needs clear rules that people can build around.
Key points
- A powerful model is less useful if long-term access is unclear.
- should be treated as part of the product experience.
- Teams should check eligibility, included features, preview status, review steps, and fallback options.
- The issue is not whether restrictions exist, but whether they are predictable.
- AI agent plans should include both model capability and access stability.
