Mac mini M4 loses HDMI display after KVM switching

A is being used alongside a Windows work laptop through a UGREEN HDMI , model AK502. When the starts while the KVM is already switched to the Mac, the Dell monitor shows the display normally.

After switching the KVM to the Windows laptop and then back to the , the monitor shows "HDMI not detected" and does not find the Mac display. UGREEN says this KVM works with macOS and does not need any driver, but this setup is not working reliably in practice.

The display settings have already been checked without finding a fix. A USB-C-to-HDMI with an HDMI dummy plug was also tried, but it did not solve the problem.
