An M3 Mac Mini may feel weak as a local AI server
A recently bought M3 Mac Mini has a 4-core setup and 16 gigabytes of memory. The original plan was to experiment with hosting and to try OpenClaw. After using higher-end Claude models every day for work, the 3 or 4 tested felt disappointing and not useful enough to keep using.
OpenClaw also did not show a clear practical point. The home setup already includes a gaming PC, Chromebooks, a NAS, and Google TV, so the Mac Mini still needs a better everyday role.
