Use Claude Code and Obsidian to maintain a personal wiki
Obsidian and Claude Code can share one folder to create a personal wiki that stays organized as new sources are saved. Obsidian provides the screen for browsing the , while Claude Code reads and updates Markdown files. A file sets the rules for organizing and maintaining the material.
Original sources stay unchanged in a Raw folder, quick captures go into Inbox, and maintained pages live in Wiki. The Wiki contains pages for entities and concepts, summaries, an index, and a log of completed work. An “Ingest” command saves a source, summarizes it, and updates every related entity and concept page.
A “Query” command checks the index first, opens only the relevant notes, and answers with from the wiki. No complex connection between the tools is needed: the notes remain portable files, while the AI handles filing, links, , records, and routine cleanup.
