Using Claude to turn travel photos into a kids' bedtime picture book

During a flight, someone kept sending Claude photos out the window (crop circles, small towns, feedlots, the I-80 highway) and asking questions about them like a curious passenger. At the end, they asked Claude to turn the whole conversation into a bedtime picture book for their kids, ages 3 and 8, using the photos taken. Claude wrote the story and designed a 15-page iPad-sized PDF, complete with custom fonts, seek-and-find for the younger child, and fun-fact s for the older one.

It even identified and circled the Nebraska football stadium in one of the photos. The book was read to the kids that same night, and Claude also produced a reusable so future trips can be turned into books the same way.

Key points

  • The full conversation and photos were turned into a 15-page, iPad-sized picture book PDF on request
  • The book included custom fonts, seek-and-find for a younger child, and fact s for an older one
  • Claude recognized and circled a specific landmark (a football stadium) in one of the photos
  • A reusable was also generated so the same process can be repeated for future trips
