Non-developer vibe-codes an email tracker-blocking Chrome extension, now stuck on marketing
Someone with a construction project management and zero computer science experience built a that blocks email . The motivation came from frustration that recruiters, salespeople, and marketers can silently detect when their emails get opened.
The extension was built using Cursor and Claude through an improvised, iterative process that took much longer than expected, and it is now live. The main unsolved problem is : the creator does not know how to reach people who would actually care about this tool, and is asking the community how non- typically find their first users, whether email tracking is a widely shared annoyance, and how others without a tech approached finding an idea and building momentum.
