
NotebookLM becomes Gemini Notebook, adding code execution for AI Pro
Google is renaming its source-based research tool NotebookLM to . It will remain a separate product, but its notebooks already connect with the Gemini app and will also appear in ’s AI Mode. Its logo is changing to the blue and purple Gemini design.
The Gemini 3.5 and upgrade introduced for AI Ultra last month will reach users on the web over the coming weeks. It gives each notebook a secure that can write and run code to analyze complex data while relying on the uploaded sources. Google also promises deeper analysis and new types of output.
More than 30 million people and over 600,000 now use the product. Early reactions welcomed the effort to connect Google’s scattered tools, but also called for the existing features and interface to remain reliable. Other requests included selectable voices and for notebook chats.
