Dev built and launched a stay-on-top focus timer app with a cat
A developer built and released a free focus timer app called Popiah because existing timers kept getting buried under other windows. The default is 25 minutes of focus followed by a 5-minute break, and both can be adjusted. There is also a stopwatch mode.
The window stays pinned on top of all other apps so it is always visible. Short motivational quotes rotate on screen during s, and an Abyssinian cat character blinks and twitches its ear as a light . No account or cloud service is needed — is saved locally in the browser, so no data leaves the device.
The app also keeps the screen from turning off while you work. It is available at popiah.dev.
