Claude Opus 4.8 may hide its reasoning display
In mode, Opus 4.8 did not show the usual visible reasoning display. Sonnet usually showed that display in the same kind of use.
The answers were good enough to use, but the model sometimes forgot details that had just been discussed. It is not clear whether the missing display means weaker , or whether the reasoning is simply not shown on screen.
