Small AI characters run locally on an older RTX 2060 laptop
A small AI model controls NPCs that can walk, talk, and run commands on their own. Each NPC reads an to understand its surroundings. It can also change parts of the environment through actions such as throwing a fireball or pushing a barrel.
Instead of hiding the small model's weak reasoning, the experiment treats clumsy behavior as part of the fun. It was created to explore local AI on a six- or seven-year-old HP Omen laptop with an RTX 2060 . The project is still at an early stage, with about five to ten possible directions left to explore.
