User stuck after Fable ran out of usage mid-task, can't resume session
A Reddit post in describes using Fable (a Claude-related cowork tool) to read documents and draft a new one, when weekly usage ran out mid-task. The result is a leftover file in the folder with no and a temporary name (e.g. ziKacauJJ).
The tool displayed a message saying "switch model to continue," but there is no /model command available, and clicking on the "fable 5" model instead shows "can't switch model after starting a session — start a new one to switch." The user has not found a way to move to a new session without losing the work already done. They note this was their first time using the cowork-in-a-folder workflow.
Key points

- The unfinished output is left as a temp-named file with no
- The tool prompts to "switch model" but no /model command is available
- Switching models after a session has started is blocked; a new session is required instead
- First-time experience with the cowork-in-a-folder workflow
