Three fixes led to a first sale after four months with no revenue
TransClipper is a tool for video and analyzing which parts could work as widely shared short clips. Visits increased every month during four months of development, but the product made no sales. Search data from and visitor paths from GA4 were given to Fable 5 to identify why visitors were not buying and what could change in the offer, screens, or features.
The review found several points where people left before paying, including problems that had been suspected but ignored and others that had been missed entirely. Three changes were released in one day: a clearer interface that explained the product sooner, unlimited instead of an early usage cap, and a three-day free trial of Pro before payment. The first sale arrived that evening.
The product reached $25 in MRR, with more people still using the trial.
Key points
- Traffic increased each month for four months, but there were no sales.
- Search and visitor-behavior data were reviewed to find where potential buyers left.
- The interface was redesigned to communicate the product's purpose sooner.
- The transcript limit was removed because it made the product feel too restricted before payment.
- A three-day Pro trial was added, followed by the first sale that evening and $25 in MRR.
