New tool scans your rental lease for clauses that break state law

A ed LeaseSnipe launched this week. Users upload a lease PDF and get a plain-English report in about 60 seconds: risky or unusual clauses get flagged, real move-in costs are broken down, and each flag is checked against landlord-tenant law across all 50 US states plus Washington DC. The idea came from watching someone sign a lease with a security deposit set at twice the legal cap in their state, only discovering it afterward.
